  critical adj.involving making fair, careful judgments about the good and bad qualities of somebody/something 有判断力的;判断公正(或审慎)的

          我已口头通知他了。
  构词法:动词+ed或+ing变形容词
  动词+ed:
  表示情感和感觉,所以它只能用在【人】或【动物】(动物也是有情感的)身上。因为物体是没有感觉的,所以不能用在物体上。
  动词+ing:
  用来表达一种事物(包括人)的特征。可以用在【人】,【动物】,【环境】,【物体】,【过程】等方面。这些事物会给人带来某种情感。
  例:interest vt.使……感兴趣;引起……的关心;使……参与
  He is interesting.So, he makes me feel interested.
  他这个人很有趣(有趣是这个人的特征)。所以他使我感到有趣(有趣是我的感受)。
  excite v.使兴奋;激起,引发;激发,激励
  He is so excited about this trip to Beijing.
  他对北京之旅感到很兴奋。
  The second half of the book is more exciting.
  书的后半部分比较刺激有趣。
  confuse vt.使混乱;使困惑
  It was really confusing.表这件事让人迷惑。
  It made me feel confused.表我感觉很迷惑。
  bore vt.使烦扰
  He is bored.他感到很无聊。
  He is boring.他让人觉得无聊。
  Phrases and Expressions
  apply to to use something or make something work in a particular situation 使用;应用
  put forth to suggest an idea, explanation etc., especially one that other people later consider and discuss 提出;产生;
  take ...into account to consider particular facts, circumstances, etc.when making a decision about something 考虑到;顾及
  accept/take ...at face value to believe that something is what it appears to be, without questioning it 相信表面;信以为真
  with a grain of salt with reservations; skeptically 有保留地;持怀疑态度地
